What NLPD means to me.

Northern Lights Parkinson's Disease Support enjoys offering opportunities to its members in an effort to stay active, both physically & socially. From our fabulous golf society to our much loved Tuesday Club, from our bowls & cribbage clubs to organised trips to the races & holidays to Notgrove. These experiences offer everyone with Parkinson's & their families the chance to do things they maybe thought weren't possible anymore. This is a special group of people who together make Northern Lights what it is - a friendship which grows with every day that we do things as a family unit, a bond that gets stronger through good times and bad. We are there for each other during challenging times & have developed into a caring support network. This group means everything to me, the friends I have made will help me to continue enjoying life with Parkinson's.

This year, on my birthday in February, I married Christine, the lovely, beautiful & caring person that she is, makes me so happy and proud every day. It was an even more special day as I was able to share it with my NLPD family, firstly at a fabulous wedding breakfast reception & the next day a celebration at our great Tuesday Club. Love to everyone at NLPD, you don't know how important you are to all our lives, friends made old & new, I thank you X
