Carden Park

Not ones to do things by halves, the NLPD golfing society participated in its first tournament this week; the Sport Parkinson's British Open at Carden Park's Jack Nicklaus course, in Cheshire. Not only did we remain unfazed by the challenge, our very own Gary Lee emerged victorious in our category.

Our tournament started with a chaotic practice round that, quite frankly, nearly finished us off. But the next day saw us dressed to the nines in our brand new team shirts, looking every inch a formidable, intimidating and over-breakfasted group of trophy hunters. Five hours later, we finally found our way back to the club house, looking slightly less formidable.

We had a fantastic time, at a great location and finished hungry for more, and we'd like to thank everyone who gave us this opportunity: Sport Parkinson's, everyone at NLPD especially Craig M & Steve R for doing so much to get us here. Finally, of course, we want to thank our other halves who remained unwavering in their support & attention for us, right up until they heard that Ryan Reynolds was on the other course & disappeared.
